The change of the position of a particular point (free end or center) in the bellows and elastic elements can be divided into linear displacement and angular displacement according to its movement trajectory. Under the external load, the metal bellows may produce axial displacement, angular displacement and lateral displacement.
The amount of displacement caused by metal bellows and elastic elements under the rated load, that is, the working displacement they are allowed to produce under normal service conditions.
All kinds of elastic elements are allowed to bear more than the rated displacement in the working moment or during the test. In case of overload displacement, the elastic element should not be damaged, failed or unstable. For the elastic sensitive element of the meter, the overload displacement is generally limited to 125% of the rated displacement, the bellows used in the project should be determined according to the engineering conditions and safety degree.
